"It would be of course a low voltage spiritual life in which prayer was chiefly undertaken as a discipline, rather than as a way of co-labouring with God to accomplish good things and advancing his Kingdom purposes." - Dallas Willard
Thanks you for co-labouring with God and us in prayer. This week...
...ask God to protect our leaders from the evil one. Pray for this over your life and community.
...ask God to send us send workers into the harvest and for the people attending upcoming our disciple-making workshop. Ask God to send workers into your networks and neighborhoods.
...ask God to bring peace and power to the ministry of Weightless Anchor in East Price Hill - a drop in shelter for women who are living on the street. Pray for people who are trapped in addiction in your community.

In this week's learning communities, we discussed Jesus' judgement of the fig tree (Matthew 21:18-22).
Jesus's pulls no punches in these passages when it comes to calling out the corrupt spiritual leadership of the Chief Priests and the Sadducees.
Our conversation turned toward reflecting on a few questions with which you may want to spend some time.
What does toxic spiritual (church) leadership look like today?
How do we keep from being disillusioned by it?
How to do help our friends who are disillusioned by it?
What does good spiritual leadership look like and how can we put it on display in our neighborhoods and networks?
We closed by reflecting on the defining features of a good church culture as described by Scot McKnight and Laura Barringer in their book, A Church Called Tov.
A good church culture is a culture of...
...empathy.
...grace.
...people-first.
...truth.
...justice.
...service.
...Christlikeness.
