Praying with Praxis

Thank you for praying with and for us as we train, send, and support everyday people to live like missionaries and make disciples where they live, work, and play.

Today you can pray by...

...asking our Father to open doors for the good news in our West Price Hill community and to encourage those who are launching a new community in the neighborhood.

...calling on the Holy Spirit to move with the theater community in Cincinnati and asking the Lord of the Harvest to raise up and send workers into that field.

...asking our Father to help us in our first pursuit - keeping King Jesus at the center of our lives and our faith community.

We studied and discussed Jesus's parable on forgiveness in Matthew 18 in our most recent Learning Community. Here are a few extra quotes and a link to an article we discussed about the school shooting in a Pennsylvania Amish Schoolhouse back in 2006.

“The difference between spiritual and unspiritual community is not whether conflict exists, but is rather in our attitude toward it and our approach to handling it. When conflict is seen as an opportunity to draw more fully on spiritual resources, we have the makings of spiritual community.” Dr. Larry Crabb To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.

Lewis B. Smedes

...not forgiving is like drinking rat poison and waiting for the rat to die.

Anne Lammott

When you forgive someone, you slice away the wrong from the person who did it. You disengage that person from his hurtful act. You recreate him... You think of him now not as the person who hurt you, but a person who needs you. You feel him now not as the person who alienated you, but as the person who belongs to you. Lewis Smedes
